The objective is to create political conditions so that Russia can rejoin the international community and its citizen will prosper as the Germans and Japanese did after WWII. If we leave lingering border issues, Russia’s return will be conditional. Regardless of how called, it will not be a lasting peace accord. It will produce the next war a generation later.
