Before I will write a mean part of my comment, let me share something personal.

I was born with a minor but obvious physical impairment. It was, in big part, corrected surgically when I was eleven. The amount of bullying I got because of that impairment was immense. But it did not hurt me. My parents conditioned me that my value is not defined by mean words or the aggressive behavior of others. It is defined by the rightfulness of my actions and my knowing better.

I read all comments to my articles, particularly the mean ones. I want them to stay on the internet forever, so the public can see who my opponents are and what their arguments are. I will never block people calling me names or trying to bait me.

Then, here is the nasty part. Mean comments hurt you because you leave in a bubble of illusions that you can isolate yourself from reality. As long as there is one black person, there will be racism; as long as there is one Jew, there will be anti-Semitism; as long as there is someone with a weakness like yours or mine, there will be others trying to hurt us for no apparent reason.

We live in an imperfect world. Assumingly, perfection is in heaven. To get there, one needs to die first. But what if there is no heaven? We have to learn to live in an imperfect world.

One can notice that hate and anger do not always manifest in the same strength. We can make the world a better place. It is the leading thought behind my writings.
