Bernie Robert writes like an ivory tower philosopher becoming malcontent due to opulency. I do not know anything about his actual status, but I recognize his text as an example of the anti-civilization trend popular among some political writers.

Thanks to a few grocery stores in my area, I have better access to “a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, interspersed with lean meat such as fish” than any people in the past ever had. I had them from all over the world, not from my neighborhood only, as it was in the case of cavemen.

I am not bored either. Take Medium as an example. Mr. Robert is not the only one writing nonsense. It is not enough time and effort needed to demystify it.

No one puts a gun at our head, asking to be good at one thing only and ignorant in everything else. If Mr. Robert sees a problem there, I would be interested to read why we have it.

Lastly, one can buy a Swiss Army knife in Walmart; it is only 20 bucks. Why did only a very few do?
