Big businesses or governments might have abundant money to finance bizarre projects. Their bureaucratic structure is not an environment where innovative ideas could flourish. Money from Silicon Valley can do it.

My concern is that even Silicon Valley sidesteps from projects addressing fundamental problems of American society, subconsciously knowing that we cannot solve them, not because we do not know how to do it but because of political constraints.
