Erik, not all engineers are equal. You use this term to describe technocrats, who are knowledgeable in one discipline, ignorant in the most, but, as experts, claim the right to express opinions and run business or government organizations. One can find many engineers in that category, as well as doctors, financial specialists, successful business people and scientists from almost every discipline. My favored are climate scientists who claim that they know better than others how to run economy in time of climate change.
Engineering approach is the rational analysis of a problem. It sole purpose is in identifying what it takes to make a given system work. It could be small payments between individuals; they invented PayPal. It could be an electric car; they came out with Tesla.
As an engineer, I looked at the media and have a few original ideas. Without checking any of my several articles on that subject on Medium, you decided apriori, that it is impossible for me to have innovative concepts. Then, without even knowing what they are, you dismissed them. Why?
