How do you know that government inspectors can be more trusted than industry self-regulation? Do veterans get better healthcare because of VA?

Yes, our expectations are too high. But more importantly, our willingness to be in charge of our own affairs is too low.

The level of complexity we have now globally is similar to what people living in the ancient Rome experienced. Hence, if we can find out why the Rome collapsed, we might avoid its fate. The future has great past, as one of my mentors used to say.
