I am not an expert on ships, but that article smells fishy to me. If this product can really do the job, everyone would be using it. No article is needed. One comment mentions that ultrasound removes the paint as well. Then as an engineer, I wonder where and how many of these devices need to be installed on a big ship. Lastly, hulls are made of welded sheets of steel. As far as I know, any vibrations tend to destroy those weldings.

It looks to me that the author is indoctrinated by the false theory that CO2 comes mostly from human activities. It might, but the flow of magma inside the Earth changes the ocean currents, resulting in warming the oceans and the arctic, causing emissions of CO2 and methane.

My not humble suggestion, check “Science and money in the climate change debate, …if we had one.
