I am pleased to receive responses, but I am saddened that they reflect the poor knowledge about socialism and capitalism among most people today. I post the same response to three readers.

Years back, I wrote a very informative text defining “Capitalism, socialism and communism.”

BTW, this situation confirms my conviction that we need more political debates. If we had them, most of my readers would be aware of the definitions I bring in my related text. They might not agree with them, but they would recognize them in my current text, and by that, they could sharpen their critique.
