I consider myself an expert on a few issues and sometimes scorn newbies on Medium writing nonsense on these subjects.

Said so, I despise the mainstream media full of conceit pundits telling me what to think. I bet you are with me on that.

I was fortunate to work once in the very influential political periodical in Poland, run by top-notch political writers who saw the strength of their publication in having thousands of occasional contributors. I wrote about that experience.

Medium can do the same. If they finally figure out how to push to the top the best articles on merit, you will quickly learn a lot about the subjects of your interest just by following your Medium Daily Digest. After reading, let us say, 10 articles by authors claiming to be experts, you will not become an expert, but you will become knowledgeable enough to write a polemic with uncomfortable questions. It will be worth it if you only once corner a pundit that the emperor has no clothes.

As you might guess, I wrote about that as well. So far, the new Medium CEO, Tony Stubblebine, does not recommend my article for consideration by the Medium community. In summarizing, smart a… writers like myself are not your obstacle.

I would love to see polemics with my highly opinionated articles. I would answer. And readers would have fun; learning without even noticing that.
