I grew up in Poland and lived there for a meaningful part of my adulthood.
But, I have lived in the United States for most of my adult life.
So, I am an American as much as you are.
I am richer in seeing it both as an insider and an outsider.
Recently I spent more time in Poland and would like to assure you that there are plenty of “uneducated rubes” as well, “What happened in Poland?”
I disagree that only about 1,000 people worldwide know European history well. However, someone prepared for the interview with Putin would know that historical arguments would be on the agenda.
I agree that Trump was an invisible elephant in the room during that interview. I doubt his understanding of politics is better than that of Mr. Carlson. As you might guess, I also wrote about that: “Why it seems impossible to trump Trump?”
