I live in the 74,000 town in the far Chicago suburbs. We had a local paper that was free. It reported about official city affairs, new businesses, police activity and similar matters.

I miss it. The Facebook page gives scraps of that in a chaotic manner.

I stick to my comparison of cars replacing horses.

Journalists who functioned in traditional newspapers still have not find a way to operate in the digital era. For your consolation, it applies to all print media. Big papers have more money to last longer.

It means there is a void. Whoever figures how to fill those unsatisfied needs, will be the next billionaire.
