I live in the Chicago area. Like most people there, I intend to escape. I jokingly say that the only chance for Chicago is to make money from tourists lured with a slogan: “Come and see the last days of our glory before we collapse as Detroit did.”
It is not “we.” It is about you. As an investor, would you, Scott Galloway, put your money in ventures aiming at reversing the decline of Chicago or betting that it would happen? I doubt. I am quitting unless Chicago, and Illinois, meet your investment criteria.
