I lived in the Soviet Bloc. To execute nationalization, the government needs to execute its opponents. Otherwise, corruption eats the system, and without fear of being killed, people resist. The beginning of the fall of the Soviet Union started on February 25, 1956, when Khrushchev criticized Stalin’s atrocities.

In North Korea, they still have nationalization because they kill the opponents of it.
