I quit once already, in 1985, when I left the disastrous situation in my native Poland and immigrated to the United States. But for several years before that, I was among those who did whatever they could to reverse the apocalyptic collapse of the Polish economy. It worked out much sooner than I had hoped for. Our work was the catalyst for the collapse of the Soviet Union due to its own reasons.
Soon after arriving in the United States, I realized it was not the same nation that de Tocqueville was writing about. So, as I did back in Poland, I do whatever I can to fix it. I know what worked in Poland. I have experience.
