I was born and raised in a socialistic country. When growing up I heard contradicting opinions about socialism and capitalism. To make an educated choice, I studied both socialistic ideology and socialistic economy, as taught by socialists. For some time, I hoped that there might be a way to make socialism work. But the more I learned the better I understood that socialism never worked and never will be.
