I would say objectivism is underrated. It means that 2+2 always equals 4, regardless of how we feel about it. If we abandon objectivism, 2+2 might be 3 for things we do not identify with and 5, or maybe even more for something close to our hearts.

When people at Boeing slipped on being objective, their 737MAXes were falling from the sky. When policies fail, like immigration and health care in the United States, it is because of the lack of objectivism. But, unlike the case of 737MAX, in politics, there are more opportunities to muddle the argument.
