It applies to business but not to politically biased media. One can see that in the example of the Washington Post that Jeff Bezos owns. All his efforts in bettering the financial strength of that newspaper are in marketing, not in promoting better writing.

By better writing, I mean a businesslike rational narrative in presenting problems we face as a nation. I explain that on the example of their biased reporting about climate change. Also, if they did their job, Facebook would not be a relevant news source.
