It is about women having the freedom to make a decision.

Yesterday I spoke with an acquaintance with a 20-year-old son with a mental disability. Her husband left her, and their son’s condition was a factor. Her daily routines circle around taking care of her son. Her chances of finding a partner are dim. She is not bitter. During the pregnancy, doctors found out that, most likely, the child would be disabled and strongly suggested an abortion. She decided against it. She does not regret it.

BTW, on the top of my profile, I pinned a text about abortion I wrote 25 years ago. I would not write it differently today but might refer to current events.
