It is simply not true.
Regardless of how much time I devote to learning to play the violin, I can be a mediocre player at best because I have no good ear for music.
When it comes to solving problems, I am smarter than most, and even if the solution I propose is not the best one, I can quickly see who on the team has a better suggestion and act on it.
Those analytical skills and leadership talents are as rare as those needed to play the violin.
