John, I just hit 70 and do not share your resignation attitude. And I learned that in Japan, I would be only pre-old.

Seeing the Earth from the cosmos was always one of my dreams. Yesterday, a 90 years old guy did it. Before I am 90, the price might go down, I may make a fortune writing on Medium, and I might afford to do it as well. I have something to look for.

Yes, many of my old friends are already gone, but I learned to see death as a jovial pal.

Lastly, the original Martin Luther liked apples and said once: “Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” So would I do, because that apple tree would prove the old adage: non omins moriar, (Latin for: Not all of me will die.)
