But, where and when did you grow up in Poland? My grandmother died at old age more than 40 years ago. She was an illiterate country girl. When she saw a television set for the first time, she peeked at the back of it, looking for a devil sitting there.
But, when it comes to feminism, she did not need one. She picked up a man she wanted to marry, and she ran the show in the house. She had a bunch of kids, seven girls among them. All of them are or were strong-minded individuals. None of them cared about feminism; they knew what they wanted and how to get it.
