I was pushed out of Poland five years earlier, as not fitting the socialistic reality. I “deserved” that because for about 15 years I did whatever I could to get Soviets out, end socialism and open for Poland the road to prosperity. My suffering and lost opportunities gave Katie many freedoms, that were out of reach for me, born about four decades earlier.

She uses that freedom to spit on capitalism with no mercy.

The alternative is socialism, that I endured. Katie writes like she does not know history. Maybe she does not, or maybe she sings a song that idealist socialists on the West like to hear. Who knows?

Dear Katie, capitalism has all the faults people have. But it gave you freedom to prosper and the freedom to spit on it. Try the same in socialism.
