Michelle, I read a few of your earlier articles, so I know that you know better.

How many voters support politicians promising expanded government spending? You know, the prevailing majority. When the executive regulations are written, how much do these voters spend on lobbying? Nothing. How much do rich people spend on lobbying on regulations affecting public spending and taxation? As much as needed to make sure that those who spend the most get financially ahead after the dust settles.

What is the smartest way out of this predicament?
