My experience of growing up in Poland during the Soviet dominance can help you. In the Soviet Union, people were afraid to think independently because the conclusions could be dangerous for their well-being. Putin reestablished that model, where knowing more and thinking are perilous. Following the atavistic self-preservation instinct is safe. Do not ask what Russian people think about the war; it is unsafe to do so.

BTW. Like, most Poles, I like Russian music too.
