Politicians do not solve problems; we do. The best they can do is to remove obstacles on our way to fix something.

Coincidentally, in my youth, I lived in then socialistic Poland. It was a screwed up country and eventually practically (not legally) went bankrupt. I was among those who tried to fix it. We succeeded.
