Reading articles like this one makes me feel good about being old.

When I was in college half a century ago, everybody talked about the bomb "i." We got more information than one could handle; a flood of newspapers, more books showing every day than one can even skim, radio, television, and the junk mail.

Junk mail is almost none comparing what it was years back. Junk emails are easier to handle than junk mail.

The difference could be that we were taught in schools how to deal with the abundance of information. This article makes sense only under the assumption that today's kids do not learn things like that.
