Recently, I read about continents shifting; the distance between the Americas, Europe, and Africa has been increasing. Somewhere in the middle, the cracks have been opening at the bottom of the Atlantic. One might ask if this phenomenon could affect the flow of oceanic streams.

The article implies that human-caused global warming is the cause. Did it cause continents to shift as well?
