Similarly as Therin, I am a vivid debater. On subjects I did my homework, I have a lot of fun in cornering my opponents. I have been doing this for several years. I learned a lot from people who are wrong. Most of my activities are on the comments section at the Wall Street Journal and on a few publications using Disqus; rarely on Facebook. Recently, I went into debates on Medium as well.

Millions of passionate comments posted all over the social media indicate to me that there is a tremendous need for people to discuss politics; the need that is not satisfied by the existing conventional media and new social media ventures; Medium including. Hence, I see this not as a problem, but as a business opportunity. Frustrated, similarly as Therin Alrik and many commentators to his essay, I put my engineer’s mind to work on finding a solution. I invented Virtual Agora, www.virtualagora.net. We are dormant now, getting ready for the launch. The feedback from the crowd gathered around this essay would be very valuable to me. Thank you in advance.
