Teachers, by definition, know real life from books, not their own experience. I noticed that when attending a technical high school. For professional subjects, we had engineers and business managers as teachers. Some did it part-time, others, after retiring early from their professional careers. Those guys were rockets. They lived a real-life, and they taught us that. By the way, those engineers influenced other teachers at school. As a result, it was one of the best high schools in Gdańsk at that time. Other best high schools were as well technical ones but of different specialization.
Full-time teachers are susceptible to idealistic concepts, socialism the most prominent among them. They do not like capitalism in any form or shape.
