The generation of WWII survivors raised me. There was no person in Poland at that time without experiences that today have been causing the epidemic of PDSDs. The country was poor, but they did what mother nature asked for; they were making babies. With so many mouths to feed and provide clothes and shelter – they had more important things to worry about. Whatever emotional baggage they had, they transformed it into better fulfilling their surviving needs. In the end, everything turned out fine.

Returning to your response. If a person with OCD is preoccupied with a greater purpose in life, their mental predispositions are likely to help, not obstruct success. If that person’s largest challenge is their OCD, focusing on it might be an obstacle in finding a sense of life.
