Curious about your experience, I installed an application on my phone. In the desktop Medium, when looking at the comment, one can click on the post to which that comment responded and see that post. If there is a chain of comments, one can go back all the way to the original article.

That feature does not work on the mobile application. You may report that to Medium. They pay attention to those kinds of issues, and there is a fair chance that they will fix it. I uninstalled the phone application.

To satisfy my curiosity, you can try to go to the original article, find my comment, and use the link there.
