The Polish saying is that every bad thing eventually brings something good. Russia needs to join the modern world. Russia is not North Korea or Cuba that can stay disconnected for decades. The world needs Russia, and Russia needs the world.

This war could be a catharsis moment for Russia, liberating it from the curse of its history. Putin decided to subdue Ukraine to show that he is as powerful as the big guys.

Alexei, you and your friends, do not have that Putin’s inferiority complex. You are confident that you can prosper anywhere in the world by the strength of your intellect and hard work, without the desire to conquer others.

Russia needs people like you guys. If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
