There is a book titled “Schizofrenia” by Antoni Kępiński. I read it in 1974, in Polish. It is the best known to me explanation of schizophrenia. Kępiński explains it as creating false loops in the circle of forming a mental perception of reality. That book was never translated to English, to my best knowledge. But the theory behind it, the information metabolism, has writings in English.
