There is nothing wrong with aspiring writers writing about writing.

The problem is with Medium leaders setting the algorithm selecting which articles we see in the Medium Daily Digest. Good articles are rarities there. I suspect that Medium tries to promote starting writers, which makes sense as long as editors can select the quality material. I was a starting writer once and got recognition fast because editors selected my writings for publication.
