This article is a compelling message that people who disagree with us on politics can be as decent as we are. This can be a starting point in understanding the views of others. From this point, we have a chance to be persuasive when presenting to them our point of view. But, equally, they can be convincing when arguing their causes to us.

Sally Kohn dares to acknowledge how biased she was. She got out of her echo chamber. We all can learn from her.

In particular, as she posted on Medium, we can use her experience as an argument against echo chambers formed right here on Medium. I have in mind blocking users representing opposite views. I value a chance of opinion exchange with readers and other writers. But, in a few instances, when I cornered my debating partners with my arguments, they blocked me. Now, I cannot read their texts or comments, and they cannot read mine. Readers of my texts cannot read the critical opinions of these individuals, and their readers cannot read my critique of their views. I advocate for disabling the ability to block others. My articles and comments are very provoking and I receive many equally inciting responses. Some of them might go too far, but I never will block anyone. Let readers see not only my points of view but also see who are the people opposing them.
