This article needed to be written.

Russia is too big to be ostracized. But because of being so big and having nukes, it cannot remain in the bubble of its imperial illusions. If we allow that, the next burst of unlawful aggression is a given. Whatever peace accord we reach with Russia after the war, it needs to include punishments of Russian leaders for starting the war and punishment for Russians committing war crimes during that war. The end of impunity is the best reeducation.

I found distasteful the phrase in the article dismissing Russian culture. It insults Russians’ talents, creativity, and hard work. German culture did not shine under Nazism too. Free from oppressive regimes, Russian culture will flourish.

More in my articles on this subject.
