This article repeats the Russian narrative.

Germany is still trying to define its position in Europe. In the past, Germany benefited from the alliance with Russia. However, that orientation goes against the interests of Poland, Ukraine, and other nations in the region.

Nord Stream was one of the major political moves in Germany's alliance with Russia against Poland and Ukraine. In the realities of Europe today, it was a mistake, mainly because of the rebirth of imperialistic ambitions in Russia under Putin. Germany made wrong choices, and it is paying the price.

Besides that, like in other Western European nations, the German economy is still less dynamic than that of the United States. On top of that, all developed nations face China’s competition.
