This text is baloney.

During my five years on Medium, I published 109 texts. Most of them made pennies. Some, a few dollars. In a few cases, slightly more, when I was strongly promoting them by posting many comments with the links. The Medium minders warned me that it is not allowed.

But one text, in my opinion, as good or bad as all others, made 223 times more than the average for all remaining texts. I know why because I monitor five email accounts receiving the Daily Digest emails from Medium. My text was at the top of the list in one of these emails. Within the next few days, that text earned me much more than all other texts for the five years.

In the course of my writing for Medium, I had an opportunity to learn that the views presented in my articles do not align with the ideological preferences of Medium leadership. Consequently, my texts are not listed in the Medium Daily Digest. That one instance looks like an error by one of the editors who liked the text but did not get the memo.

In summary, on Medium, readers get exposed to texts by authors with views that align with the leadership's ideological leaning. These writers get promotions and make money. Also, Medium leadership advances easy-to-read trivia, as the text earned $5,795.00.
