It is a club without a purpose.

Writers can express ideas, which then can last for eternity. It means that what we publish on Medium can make life better for our compatriots and posterity. The purpose of Medium should be a conversation about how to make the world better than it was the day we arrived.

Otherwise, writing makes no sense. Scribing does because it can pay bills. Scribing is writing without the intention of exchanging ideas.

Tony, if I understand you correctly, in your vision, Medium is for scribers, not writers as you claim.
