Well written, but I doubt that people who disagree with you read it.
As an immigrant, I arrived here with practically nothing. I did not need to live on the street, because family and friends offered a place on a sofa expecting me to move out quickly, as I did.
Being in service business I had many customers in the immigrant community in the Chicago area. A met at least a hundred, who arrived with nothing but became millionaires 20 years later. Comparing to the total numbers of immigrants arriving in that period, one can easily calculate that just by living here one has much greater chances to become rich than by playing lotto.

I did not become rich but pay enough in taxes to support a few claiming that they are deprived opportunities to support themselves. I am thinking about moving out.
