Why did you ask?

As a child, when I tried to justify my misbehaving by saying that other kids did this or that, too, my parents always asked if I would follow them if they went on the cliff and jumped.

Individuals with personal integrity do not do certain things as a matter of principle, especially when criticizing others for their lack of principles.
