Regarding being too tough on Anastasia. I recognize her good intentions but ridden by emotions she lost touch with reality. I called her wrong to point your attention as a reader, to lapses in her reasoning.
I also hated math; in grammar school. I had a poor math teacher. Then, preparing me to the entry exam to the high school, my father gave me hard-core math tutorial. I was lucky to have a great math teacher there. There are very few good math teachers; this is a big part of the problem.
You are right that in my book complaining is unproductive. One should find a way to advance his or her objectives, often in a not supportive environment.
I made some political digressions, mostly because I see our major political problems arising from the lack of education about human behavior, history, economy and science in general. We lost ability to scrutinize in public debates our major problems, the same way as in the microscopic part we do it here right now. You may want to check my other texts devoted to political issues.
