You are right but to a degree. I wrote a few hours per day for three months for each of my two books, still holding my non-writing full-time job. But I had my research done before.

Also, news reporters can and should be able to write daily. It is their craft.

But, on Medium, we do not have reporters. Authors sell their ideas. Today, I have in mind several persuasive articles I want to write. I can do on the spot three of them. I need to check a few things for the next three. I need to read a few books for the remaining ones.

Creative writers are like extreme athletes; they need time to recharge. If not, they are not creative anymore; they endlessly recycle old ideas. One of the most recognized American pundits is the best example.
