You are venturing, into a completely different subject. My non-scientific take is that depending on what perspective one takes, all of us could be classified as having some sort of mental disorder. I think about writing a text about it.
Years ago, I had an employee who had a 10-year-old boy diagnosed with ADHD and fed with pills to mitigate it. For some time, after school this boy stayed with his mom in our tiny office sitting at the desk next to mine. I soon realized that he was hyperactive because he was a healthy and intellectually curious young man. His problem was that lazy adults could not keep up with him. I had no problem with his behavior. Every several minutes or so I gave him a minute or two of my attention, pointing his interest to something new that kept him busy for a while.
