You bring up valid points, and in general, I agree with you. But two comments so far have valid objections.

You use the average pay for the argument that requires a median one.

Also, there is a science behind the best wealth distribution. Henry Ford figured out intuitively that to get rich by making cars, the people who made those cars for him needed to afford to buy them. Today that connection has been lost. Instead of the Henry Fords of today doing the same, we have a humongous government wealth redistribution. No one gets rich from the government handouts. As a result, when Gulfstream jets have many buyers, millions of people lose the ability to own their own residence, they cannot afford health insurance, and they are sliding into debilitating poverty.
