You overwhelmed me with your long tirade. You notice many important facts, but I would question your interpretation of them.

It looks to me that I did not write my text as well as I intended because I was not able to get to you the main message of my text that a division on conservatives and liberals is meaningless, it does not reflect the main divisions in the nation, it is just an artificial rift within the political establishment.

I support unquestionably your conclusion that we have to do whatever we can to “resist the authoritarianism.” As the picture attached to my text illustrates, in my view both liberals and conservatives opt for a powerful government. As you confirm, liberals want a strong government to do good and noble things. I lived under the Soviet system for the first half of my life, and can assure you that it was intended for good and noble things. Conservatives want a big government for order and security. In my book, regardless of intentions, the more power the government has the more authoritarian it becomes.

I elaborate about in in my longest essay, https://medium.com/@hak1010/capitalism-versus-socialism-9ece51b5ff29. Also, you might find interesting this my text: https://medium.com/@hak1010/capitalism-socialism-and-communism-db09ad64b81d.

Thank you for reading my article.
