You present the same logic that postponed but did not prevent the U.S from getting into WWI and WWII.

In my article, you read what you believe, not what I wrote. “If Ukrainian resistance inflicts any pain to the Russian occupiers, it is not hard to guess that Russia will try to disable the source of … help (they are getting). In short, it will not take long, before the neighboring NATO countries get pulled into the conflict.”

Putin told Macron today that he is in this war to win. If you listened to his speeches, as I do on channel 2147 at my DirecTV service (I have a decent understanding of Russian), you would realize how he insists that Russia needs to protect itself from the West arming Ukraine with nuclear weapons. If you knew Russia as I know it, you would understand that he prepares Russians for using tactical nuclear bombs as a preventive measure. We can speculate where he can hit first.

Przemyśl is a small city of about 60,000, a communication node on the Polish-Ukrainian border. Annihilating that town when important transports and people are there can help Russia. And would disable a major route for the weapons delivery. Putin will calculate that this would intimidate Ukrainians and Poles and at that same time would warn Americans as you are that any response would mean engaging strategic nuclear bombs, and San Francisco, where you live, might be the target.

There would be high pitch talk in Washington but no military response. They will wait until Putin delivers his version of Pearl Harbor.

You missed the main point of my article that declaring him and his cronies as war criminals means that they will never have an honorable exit from this war. Putin might be losing his mind, but we need to assume that some able people in Russia would soon realize that cutting their losses is the only way out. If this does not happen, the war of NATO with Russia is unavoidable.
