If my memory serves me well, at some point, I read Ev’s message stating that all income from membership fees goes to writers. We do not know if that $11 million includes only subscribers’ fees or other contractual payments to writers as well. If it is only from membership fees, it means that on average, in 2020, Medium had 220,000 paying members. Let us be frank; it is a paltry number.
